Description

You’ve made it through long division and fractions.  What now?  How do you know when your student is ready to transition from arithmetic to pre-algebra?  What mathematical skills, mental attitudes, and emotional maturity are necessary to succeed in the new world of pre-algebra?  This discussion will be appropriate for those who choose to teach it themselves as well as those who hire a tutor or enroll in a group class.  And if you’re mathphobic — don’t panic — this workshop does not include any practice problems!  Nonsectarian.
